Hello all,

My name is Robert and I have been using Viscosity for a while now and I love it. I have a problem when trying to add a route to a website. Using nslookup, I obtain the IP address needed to set a destination and add everything else so that when going to the website when VPN is active, it will ignore the interface and use the local network gateway. My problem is that the IP address changes for that website and I get a 403 Forbidden when trying to access it without changing the ip address to the new address. Is there a way I can just use the domain or URL so that I don't have to change it every time it changes. Any insight will be much appreciated. Thank you

Eric

Hi xredfox0,

You can set a domain instead of an IP address when adding a route in Viscosity. The IP address will then be resolved when connecting. However, this won't constantly update the IP address. If the IP changes while connected, you would need to reconnect for the new IP, or add the route manually.

It's also worth noting that some websites will only resolve a single IP address at a time, but have a large list of rolling IPs they use. We have some more information here - https://sparklabs.com/support/kb/articl ... lications/

Eric
