hello,
in windows, Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
the connection names are changing randomly
if i have create viscosity connection, then network adpater will be named to match the connection name
then randomly, that the network adapter are changing to "local area connection x"
in viscosity, if i rename the connection name, then the network adapter will match that.
then again, it will randomly change back to "local area connection x"
thanks,
david

Hi David,
This won't be Viscosity doing this. It's possible you have an AV application interfering or it's also possible something is reconfiguring your Virtual Switches which could be resetting the interfaces to their defaults, including a default name.

Eric

hi,
not sure what you mean "Virtual Switches", what is that, something to do with hyper-v?
i am using windows 10 built-in anti-virus, never heard of any anti-virus to rename network connections.
thanks
