VPN connection through another VPN connection
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Alright, I'll admit that I'm pretty new to advanced VPN configurations. With setups so far, I've just downloaded the .openvpn files and everything has gone smoothly. I realized that Viscosity didn't seem to be limited to just 1 connection at a time, so I tried connecting to a second VPN while already being connected to one. It seemed to create the connection, but internet traffic still seemed to go over the first one. Is there any way to create the second VPN connection through the already existing connection, so that data goes from my local gateway -> VPN1 -> VPN2 -> destination? I imagine this is possible, but what are the basic items of this setup that I should be aware of?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi Chris,
I'm afraid this isn't really possible. Multiple VPN connections are available for split tunnelling, i.e. you might want to connect to two company subnets at the same time to access their internal network. Unfortunately though, for various reasons, a VPN cannot route all it's traffic through another VPN that already routes all it's traffic on the same PC.
Regards,
Eric
