Address String for Server connections
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
I previously was able to connect to a remote server using the "Import from Server" option in Mac OS Network Connections (please see attachments). I remember finding the Address URL string convention was fairly specific but now I can't find that again. I have the server location for my company as \\servername\folder but that's all I have. Does someone know the proper URL string for a remote server connection?
Hi ATXErin,
You'll need to get in touch with your VPN Provider and get the correct VPN connection details to use. If you're unsure of who your VPN Provider is please see:

I have the server location for my company as \\servername\folder but that's all I haveThis is an address for a SMB file server (i.e. a server you connect to where you work documents etc. are probably stored). It isn't a VPN server address and it can't be used to establish a VPN connection.
