This only affects one of my computers. The system connects to my Wifi router fine, but I'm offline until I actually select a VPN portal and the connection is established. Then there's no problem. On my other computers, I can still get online without being connected to my VPN service. It's almost like there's a kill switch in action. I've looked all over the preferences and can't find any setting that would cause this. Any suggestions?

Hi MercHerc,

Viscosity doesn't have any functionality that would block or interfere with your normal network connection when there is not a VPN connection active.

The first troubleshooting step should be restarting your computer in case its networking stack has somehow entered a bad state. If you're still seeing the same thing, then it sounds likely there may be firewall or other network security software installed on the computer. Try temporarily uninstalling or disabling any such software and see if the issue persists.

Finally, also check your normal network settings and make sure they're correct, including things like the DNS servers being used normally.
