Hi Co, Firstly try changing your OpenVPN version to 2.1 (under Preferences->Advanced) as it looks like you may be using version 2.0.9. Secondly, the line "Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically" seems to imply a permissions error. Make sure Viscosity is installed in your Applications fold...

Hi smallard, Viscosity will not display an icon in the dock, however it should display a small icon in your menu bar (top right near the clock). Clicking on this should bring up the Viscosity menu. If this icon is not appearing, try checking the Console to see if there are any errors or warning. The...

Hi Tony, It sounds likely that you have a routing conflict on your hands - you may like to check the OpenVPN log to see if there are any warnings. You can view the OpenVPN log by opening Viscosity's Details window, and clicking on the 3rd button from the left. In most cases this is caused by the IP ...

Hi anamorphis, Now, would it be possible to give me a brief explanation about what that extra line of code did? Your VPN server would have been sending out the "Send all traffic over VPN Connection" command, which would have been overriding what you had set at Viscosity's end. By un-tickin...

I got it to work using the ca, crt, and key files. My pkcs12 file does not work. I get an OpenVPN subsystem could not be started. There is a bug in version 1.0.8 that can cause problems for those using PKCS12 files. This has been corrected in the latest beta (1.0.9b1): http://www.viscosityvpn.com/f...

Hi suzerain, The weirdest thing is that Safari/Firefox, and Viscosity will all refuse to connect any site or VPN server, but uTorrent continues happily downloading BitTorrents. This makes me think you have a DNS issue on your hands. Do you have DNS Support enabled for your connection (under the Gene...

Hi webjema, Would you be able to post a copy of your OpenVPN log and config file (or alternatively email it to us)? You can view the OpenVPN by opening the Details window, and clicking on the Log button (the 3rd button from the left). You can find a copy of your config file at: Your Home Folder/Libr...

Hi sicilynskates, It's possible the VPN server is sending out a different identifier for the username/password request, so Viscosity sees it as a different prompt (some OpenVPN server integrations with Active Directory can have this). You may also like to check your Keychain permissions. See the fol...

Hi Floyd3592, Firstly does anyone now of a way around this block? Well Hulu would have identified the IP address of the particular server you are connected to and blocked it. There is no way around this except to connect to a different server (or if WiTopia assign it a different IP address that isn'...
