Hi kklobe, Our internal network here uses the 167.100.x.x address range. I'd like all traffic destined for that network to go through the internal gateway. You should be able to achieve this like so: 1. Open Viscosity's Preferences window, select your connection, and click the Edit button. 2. Click ...

Hi Dave, It's likely the connection had dropped out. When using UDP OpenVPN is only really able to detect dropouts using the ping/ping-restart values. Try having a play with the "Ping" and "Ping-restart" fields, which are under the Options tab when editing your connection in Visc...

Hi Josh,

Viscosity should already do this, however you must be using its standard DNS support, as the Alternate DNS support option (under Preferences->Advanced) does not handle DHCP lease changes.

Hi Simon, Well option (b) will certainly allow you to achieve what you want to do, however it does require you to be quite familiar with network routing to be able to pull it off (as you'll need to manually specify all the routes WiTopia would normally push out automatically). You may like to read u...

Hi sicilynskates, The server is dropping the connection due to inactivity. You'll need to have a play with the "Ping" and "Ping-restart" fields, which are under the Options tab when editing your connection in Viscosity. For example, try setting a Ping value of 10, and a Ping-rest...

So if CONNECT is blocked on port 443 as well am I out of luck?
Yes. However it is extremely unlikely this is the case on port 443 as all modern browsers use the CONNECT command to establish a HTTPS connection.

Does the VPN connection work correctly before it drops out? If so, does it still drop out if you edit your connection in Viscosity, click on the Options tab, and add a Ping value of 5, and a Ping-Restart value of 300? It may also be worth turning on Viscosity's Reset network interfaces on disconnect...

Hi Adam, You need to set the protocol to be both TCP on your pfSense box and under Viscosity. UDP connections cannot traverse through a HTTP proxy. Mon Nov 30 17:29:56 2009: RESOLVE: NOTE: my.edu.proxy resolves to 2 addresses, choosing one by random This is fine in most cases - it simply means your ...
