Also I happened to me often with 1.9.1 it wasnt possible to quit viscosity, it was hanging in menu bar even after quitting, maybe those problems are linked? It sounds likely you may be describing an issue that has been addressed in the latest beta version: https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/artic...

If that is the case, there is something else going on with DNS resolution as nslookup/dig/route utility resolves the DNS info from the domail.dhcp instead of domain.vpn on a server.domain.vpn query? Please see the following regarding the use of nslookup, dig, and host: https://www.sparklabs.com/sup...

Hi ikappas, I have run into the same situation while connecting to a VPN where the VPN defined search domains are pushed to resolver #1 in addition to the ones from DHCP along with an additional resolver entry #2 which points the domain entry to the VPN DNS Server. This is correct behaviour and not ...

Hi shir, Notice the first item. It was added after connection and it's applied for my domain but It uses the nameserver in my current network (192.168.1.1). This is normal and expected. The important part to look at for Split DNS is the "DNS configuration (for scoped queries)" section. Thi...

Thanks for sending along those details. I can confirm it looks like your DNS settings are correct. As it is a Split DNS setup, the VPN DNS server should be getting used for any mxx.txxxxx.xx subdomains, while the user's normal DNS server will be getting used for all other lookups. You should be able...

Hi AlexanderK, Could you please post the following items. This should give us a better idea of the configuration: 1. A complete copy of the output from running "scutil --dns" (without the grep). 2. A complete copy of the OpenVPN log with the log verbosity level raised. You can raise the lo...

Hi cybermaster69, Thanks for posting your log. Judging by your description and messages, no network traffic at all is passing through the VPN connection. This likely means one of three things: a compression setting mismatch between the server and client, a MTU issue, or a router or the server itself...

You can raise the log verbosity by editing the connection in Viscosity, clicking on the Advanced tab, and then adding the command “verb 5” (without the quotation marks) on ...

Hi HenrikWL, I'm afraid managed system profiles will override local network settings (by design). It would likely be possible to alter the managed profile to include your VPN DNS server/s and the domains to be associated with them (I believe the option is named something like Supplemental Match Doma...
