Hi PeteSmith, The password would be related to your OpenVPN connection, rather than your Mac. The certificate used by your connection probably has a password associated with it, which is what OpenVPN is asking for. Another possibility is that your connection requires a token be entered. If you need ...

Try editing your connection again and do the following:

1. Click on the Certificates tab
2. Select Static Key from the Authentication Type drop down menu
3. Click the "Clear" button next to the Secret field
4. Click save and try connecting.

Hi ev,

Licenses purchased through the website are per-user.

The EULA can be found at the end of the Quick Start guide on the Viscosity disk image.

When Viscosity seeks administration rights it installs the tun/tap drivers and startup items, and changes the permissions on files inside the Application itself (in Viscosity.app/Contents/Resources). Trashing the Viscosity application and tun/tap files trashes everything that was changed. Cheers James

Hi iain1971,

Try the following:

CA: ca.cert
Cert: client1.crt
Key: client1.key

If you have a OpenVPN config file you can tell Viscosity to import it and these will be automatically filled in for you.

Hi ev,

You'll also need to trash the tun/tap startup items located at:
/Library/StartupItems/

And that's everything.

Future versions of Viscosity will provide a nicer way to install icon packs. For now you can install an icon pack like so: 1. Download the icon pack (e.g. Lock.zip) 2. Double click on the zip file to uncompress it. You should see a folder appear in the same location (e.g. Lock.ViscosityMenuIcons) 3....
