I'mtrying 1.10.8b1. It's 45 minutes in and the nameservers listed in /etc/resolv.conf are still looking good. (Normally, they revert to 127.0.0.1 at 30 minutes exactly.)

FWIW, we see the same problem with 1.10.6 and 1.10.7. Using the same config from our previous post , Viscosity initially sets two DNS servers and uses the "Full DNS" setting. Exactly 30 minutes after connecting to our VPN server, the nameservers listed in /etc/resolv.conf all revert to 127...

Just noting here that after taking this to email, James and company were able to replicate this behavior. It would seem that our usage is fairly ~odd~ niche. :) Once they were able to replicate, they found a fix that's included in 1.10.6b7. Our workaround between the release of macOS 13.2 and 1.10.6...

Thanks, James. I'll take this over to a support submission and include the configs and connection log. As for your DHCP server questions, it is pushing a default gateway, but it is not pushing any static routes. I suspect that this is where things are going bad, and macOS 13.2 is handling the DHCP r...

We have about 20 laptops with Ventura. Slightly less than half of them have updated to 13.2, and I'm advising the remainder to hold on 13.1 for the time being. We use a TAP VPN config with specific networks routed over the VPN: route 1.2.3.0 255.255.254.0 default default Since traffic to the network...

James: Thank you for your response. Sorry about the ambiguous usage of "connect or disconnect my iPhone from my laptop." I have a USB to Lightning cable right in front of me that I use to charge my Magic Keyboard occasionally. When I'm not using the cable to charge the keyboard, I will som...

This is on a MBP running macOS 12.6.1 and using Viscosity 1.10.4. Whenever I connect or disconnect my iPhone from my laptop, the OpenVPN connection managed by Viscosity gets scrambled. Viscosity doesn't notice that the connection has gone bad. The VPN interface goes from active to inactive, and the ...

Howdy! I'm trying to build a new Viscosity pkg file for distribution from our MDM. I'm following these directions: https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/article/bundling-viscosity-with-vpn-connections-preferences-mac/. This is my first time building this package. My predecessor created the previous o...

Is there any way to add a tool tip to a VPN config? I'd love for my users to be able to hover over a VPN config and for some pre-configured info on that config be displayed to them in a tool tip. Sure, we can name the config to something informative, but that limits what you say a bit more than a to...

We took this to email. Turns out we were tweaking a macOS issue that James was able to work around in the 1.8.5b5 release.

Thank you, James.
