I would like to set up a single VPN configuration for the whole Mac, so that every user account on it would be able to connect, if they need to. Is it somehow possible to share a config this way or do I just have to copy the same config folder for every user? Ideally I would just drop ~/Library/Appl...

It seems to me that Viscosity (1.3.4/1030) generates OpenVPN configs that are not compatible, at least with pfSense 2.0 when using TLS authentication. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set your OpenVPN server to use TLS authentication 2. Copy the static key to your client and configure Viscosity to use it Expe...

Viscosity does not support IPSEC, it's an OpenVPN client.

OS X has a built-in L2TP/IPSEC client which to my knowledge should work with Sonicwall.
Heres' how you configure it:

Thanks for the feedback.

I actually made a little web app to ease the deployment process a bit:
http://unflyingobject.com/vpn_config/

It just spits out all the necessary OpenVPN files and config. Nothing Viscosity specific, but saves quite a bit of time when working with pfSense.

It seems there's a bug when deploying Viscosity 1.0.9 as per these instructions: http://www.viscosityvpn.com/support/?section=faq&supportid=6 After preconfiguring the app, it's not possible to compress it using Finder because of special permissions on "ViscosityHelper". Creating a DMG ...

Hi Avanti, I'm sure James will have a more helpful answer, but I think the solution you're looking for doesn't exist. Domain names can't be used for routing and there's no correlation between a DNS domain and say a pool of IP addresses. Maybe just try and solve why you can't access some places throu...
