Retrieving Your Receipt Or Transaction Number

If you need to make an enquiry about your Viscosity license, you will need to provide a proof of purchase. When you made your purchase, you would have been emailed a copy of your purchase receipt.

If you purchased using the Discover / Other or PayPal options from our store, this receipt will come from PayPal and will have a Transaction ID or Receipt Number.

If you purchased Viscosity using a MasterCard, Visa or Amex (American Express) credit card, or Apple Pay (Amex cards only), your receipt will come from [email protected] and contain a Transaction Number.

The Transaction Number or Receipt Number is the only way we can verify that you own a license. Unfortunately your license details cannot be used to verify ownership of a license as these details can be provided to you by a workplace for example.

Below are the methods you can use to retrieve your Transaction ID/Number or Receipt Number.

MasterCard, Visa, Amex or Apple Pay Checkout

Immediately after purchasing Viscosity using MasterCard, Visa, Amex or Apple Pay (Amex cards only), your Transaction Number will be displayed. We recommend you take note of the details displayed here straight away either by printing the page, saving a copy or writing down this number.

A receipt will also be emailed to you from [email protected] to the email address you entered when purchasing (the same email address you received your license at). This email contains your Transaction Number which we can use to locate your purchase.

If you have lost your receipt from us when purchasing with MasterCard, Visa, Amex or Apple Pay (Amex cards only), please contact us with the following information so we can locate your purchase:

  • Billing Name
  • Billing Address
  • Date of Purchase
  • Last 4 (four) digits of Credit Card used

Please Note: This only applies to purchases made during or after October 2016. If you purchased Viscosity prior to this, your purchase was made through PayPal, please follow the instructions below.

PayPal Checkout (including Discover)

Immediately after completing your payment in the PayPal portal, your Transaction ID or Receipt number will be displayed, along with an option to print your receipt containing these details. We recommend you take note of the details displayed here straight away.

If you purchased Viscosity using Discover or PayPal's guest checkout and have lost your PayPal receipt, you will need to contact PayPal to retrieve it. Please see further down for more information.

PayPal Email Receipt (including Discover)

After completing your Viscosity purchase using Discover or PayPal, you are emailed a receipt from PayPal. You can find your Transaction ID or Receipt Number on this receipt. The email address that receives this receipt is either the email address you entered when you entered your credit card details, or the email address in your PayPal account.

PayPal Account

If you have a PayPal account and purchased Viscosity using your account, you can retrieve your Transaction ID or Receipt number via your account.

Recent Purchase

If you purchased Viscosity within the last two years, follow these instructions:

  1. Login to your PayPal Account.
  2. Select Activity
  3. Using the search options, locate your Viscosity Purchase. You are looking for a payment made to SparkLabs Pty Ltd.
  4. Click on the purchase once you have located it. Your Transaction ID or Receipt Number will be displayed once the purchase has expanded.

Older Purchase

If you purchased Viscosity more than two years ago, you will need to download your purchase history. To do this:

  1. Login to your PayPal Account.
  2. Select Activity
  3. On the right of this page, click Statements then click Activity export in the drop down menu.



  4. With Custom Date Range selected, enter dates around your purchase, select PDF under File Types for Download then click Download History.
  5. Open the downloaded file, then search for your SparkLabs purchase. The easiest way to do this is with Find (Ctrl+F on Windows, Command+F on Mac). The Transaction ID or Receipt Number will be displayed under the purchase name.

Contact PayPal

If you don't have a PayPal account, or you have been unable to retrieve your Transaction ID or Receipt Number, you can contact PayPal directly to obtain a copy of the payment receipt. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Credit card number
  • Name on the credit card
  • Purchase amount
  • Date of purchase
