I was using a test account for our VPN as I was setting it up and I saved the username and password. Now I have real accounts set up and wanted to switch over to that.

How do I remove a saved set of credentials.

Hi Dave,

I'm assuming your test account credentials are still valid, as if they are not, Viscosity should detect this and clear what's saved then prompt you for new credentials.

To delete what credentials you have saved, close Viscosity, then go to C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\Viscosity in Vista/7, or C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Username>\Application Data\Viscosity in XP, and delete the file named "LoginInfo.xml". This will clear any saved passwords you have.

The latest beta release of Viscosity Windows (due out mid next week) should allow you to clear your passwords from within the application (Windows doesn't have the luxury of a central storage place for passwords like the Mac Keychain unfortunately).

Eric

Has such option been implemented for a single profile? I'm using Viscosity 1.7.6 on windows and I cannot find a way to change a working username and password for a specific profile. Deleting LoginInfo.xml (or pressing "Clear All Saved Credentials" in global advanced options) will delete all passwords of all my 25 profiles, I don't want to delete all passwords. I just need to change both username and password of one profile.

Hi giox069,

No such option has been implemented per-connection. The easiest way would be to export the connection, delete it, then import it again if the credentials you want to clear are still valid.

Yes, the credentials I want to delete are still valid. As you pointed, deleting and reimporting the .ovpn profile file deleted the profile credentials. Thank you.
A button for clearing credentials of a single profile would be useful.

Hi giox069,

We'll certainly investigate adding such functionality.
