Support KB doesn't match application

I was attempting to set up a split VPN tunnel, as there are some pieces of software out there that are able to be set up to use the VPN device to be routed through and then have other pieces of software simply use the normal (non-VPN) devices and routing. To that end, in previous support messages, it has been advised that the user make sure to untick the box that marked "Send all traffic over VPN connection" in the Networking tab of the application. But in the Windows version of the application, at least 1.7.3 (build 1521), no such option exists.
In the Networking tab, all I see is a section marked "All Traffic:" with a drop-down menu with options of "Automatic (set by server)", "Send all traffic over VPN Connection", "Send all IPv4 traffic over VPN Connection", and "Send all IPv6 traffic over VPN Connection" and none of these behave like the option referenced by the support team or the support documentation, as every option by default routes everything over the VPN.
