RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Hello team,
Since version 1.6.x my connection is frequently reset. Then I got this message in loop:
Apr. 04 17:45:02: RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: Unkown host.
what's wrong with the client? Should I update something in the configuration? The config is provided by the VPN server website...
Regards,
MC.

Hi mchauban,
If you are using Full DNS (to prevent DNS leaks), if OpenVPN drops out and needs to resolve the server address again, the only DNS server that is accessible is probably through the VPN tunnel thus the resolution fails. If you Disconnect and then Reconnect you should be right to go.
Could you please post a complete copy of the log when a dropout occurs and we can point you in the right direction to try and prevent the dropouts.
Regards,
Eric
