Memory leak/cpu high - 1.6.1 (1419) - Win 8
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Hi,
After a while cpu and memory is slowly building up, and the memory is constantly over 1247MB. CPU is using a constant above 31%, even when there's no load. This is for Viscosity.exe.
ViscosityService.exe uses no cpu, and about 9MB of the memory.
This causes Viscosity to hang, but the connection is still intact. But I cannot right click the system tray icon. This has not been an issue in earlier versions. What's been introduced that is causing this?
Only way to get access to preferences or right click the system tray icon is to kill the process. I have checked the log, and all I can see there is logging every second like this:

Hi kenti666,
It looks like you have a very high verb level set which can lead to this higher CPU and Memory usage, please try editing your connection, going to the Advanced tab and removing the verb command if here.
Alternatively, the latest beta has some measures in place which might help prevent this. To try the latest beta, please go to Preferences -> General, tick Include Beta Updates then click Check Now. Ideally though, removing the verb command is the best way to prevent this.
Regards,
Eric
