Hi guys,
I am unable to connect to VPN. I'm able to connect from other places besides home, but at home I'm stuck. I'm on TimeWarner cable with a managed modem that they manage. I've tried quite a few things to get it to connect.
I'm plugged directly into the modem. There's no WiFi broadcasting from this modem.
I've tried:
Switching modems
Switching from Bridged to MAC auth mode on ISP side
Opening ports 443 and 1194 for TCP&UDP
Seting the computer in the DMZ zone on the modem
Tried different versions of Viscosity (1.5.5 & 1.5.9)
Tried re-adding the VPN profile.
Tried UDP instead of TCP in the VPN config.
When using TCP to try and connect to VPN I get the following error:
Aug 24 7:44:37 AM: TCP: connect to [AF_INET]216.57.195.98:443 failed, will try again in 5 seconds: The system tried to join a drive to a directory on a joined drive.
When using UDP I get this:
Aug 24 1:48:46 PM: UDPv4 link local (bound): [undef]
Aug 24 1:48:46 PM: UDPv4 link remote: [AF_INET]216.57.195.98:443
Aug 24 1:50:56 PM: TLS Error: TLS handshake failed
Aug 24 1:50:56 PM: SIGUSR1[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting
Aug 24 1:50:56 PM: State changed to Connecting
I've tried with different user credentials that I know work in other places as well. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Bryce

Hi Bryce,
Have you tried contacting your ISP or your VPN Provider about this at all? If you are getting failures like this on both TCP and UDP, it looks like something is trying to actively block the VPN Connection. Are you able to try a VPN server in a different location as well?
Regards,
Eric
