Hi all!
My windows 7 pc worked perfectly and I was able to visit my private site via viscosity VPN. I just upgraded to windows 10 and while Viscosity joyfully connects and the symbol is perfectly green the VPN does not work properly. While internet works, I am not able to visit my private site. I was wondering if I should downgrade to windows 7 or is there a workaround. Again, while the program connects, the site blocks me. Other windows 7/8 computers here do work properly with viscosity and problems started immediately after updating yesterday. I tried the newest beta, but still no change.
I hope you guys can help!
Best regards

Hi Paul,
Please check your routing table and adapter to see if they are setup correctly as well as checking the OpenVPN log for any setup errors. If you are connecting to your private site via a DNS name, try seeing if you can get to it via an IP instead to rule out any DNS problems.

We have also had a very large portion of problems caused by Anti Virus applications from people who have updated to Windows 10. Please try completely disabling or even uninstalling any 3rd party AV or Firewall applications you have installed as well.
Regards,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your response. To rule anything out I did not install a Anti Virus application. After checking I can also confirm that there is no DNS problem. In other threads I red about using the legacy driver but whenever i reinstall viscosity, I do not get the driver choice anymore. I hope you can assist me further. Thanks in advance!

Hi Paul,
The legacy driver will not work on Windows 10, this is only an option for Windows 8.1 and earlier. Are you able to post a copy of your route table and ipconfig? To get these, right click Start, select Command Prompt, then type in:
route print
ipconfig -all
Also try doing a tracert to your internal web page by typing in:
tracert <your web site address>
