I have been trying to get around DNS leaks by unchecking the "Apply DNS Simultaneously" feature and have found that it degrades my connection. Everything loads slowly, and my browser takes a long time "requesting" sites. I am pretty sure this has something to do with my DNS configuration, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I have already enabled DNS support and put in my VPN's DNS address, but it doesn't seem to help any. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Megalith,

What operating system are you using and what version of Viscosity are you using?
Are you connecting to your own VPN Server or do you have a subscription with a provider?
Have you tried using a public DNS like Google or OpenDNS instead of your VPN Servers address?

Hi, Eric,

I am on Windows 10 and using the latest version of Viscosity. Connection is to a provider. And I have my DNS set up through my router so OpenDNS's servers are being used.

Hi Megalith,

If you are using your VPN DNS while connected, this will be bypassing your routers DNS. Please try entering OpenDNS's servers into Viscosity under Edit Connection -> Network then Save and reconnect and see if this improves your connection.
