If with "PIA service" you means the PIA software - then the answer is no.
I tried this PIA VPN Client software but there is no possibility of automatic reconnection after losing internet connection for some reason. And my ISP distributes a new IP adress to all customers after 24h, which means a short interruption of the internet connection.
Comodo Internet Security + Viscosity=100% CPU at openvpn.exe

Hi,
It seems that I misconfigured Comodo Internet Security or Viscosity somehow.
Last week all worked very well and now CIS blocks the vpn connection like this:
or, depending on the checked boxes at the "advanced options" at firewall section:
cpu usage is 100% at the openvpn.exe
When deactivating the firewall then vpn is working well (and no 100% cpu usage)
with this tutorial I created the rules in CIS for VPN client:
https://www.bestvpn.com/blog/10218/buil ... ws-comodo/
System:
- Windows XP x86
- Viscosity v1.4.10 / 1.5 / 1.5 beta (tested all out within the last two days)
- CIS Premium v7.0.317799.4142
Viscosity setting:
- default openvpn donfig file provided by my vpn service provider - can be found / downloaded here -> private internet access
- only modification: added push "dhcp-option DNS 209.222.18.222" to use their own DNS server
I hope that anyone has an idea
regards - Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I'm afraid we have no experience with Comodo Internet Security specifically, but with firewalls in general, Viscosity does not require any configuration changes for a firewall to take effect. If you have created some complex firewall rules that are blocking packet replies or the like, this will easily cause 100% cpu load on openvpn as it constantly tries to resend network information, though this is just one example of what could be going wrong.
I would highly recommend contacting Comodo Internet Security's support for further advice to check your settings with them as all we would be doing is guessing what the problem is or how to resolve it.
We have our own recommendations for killing programs or your internet connection using our scripting support in the event of a disconnect/dropout, please take a look as they may fit your needs more closely:

Hi Stafan,
I should also add, if you have added that push command to the Advanced section of your Viscosity connection, it will not work, this is a server command. You should add any DNS servers you wish to use in the Networking section when editing your connection.
Regards,
Eric

OK it's not at Comodo.
Just uninstalled the firewall and tried it again (after restart and cleaning registry parts from it, re-installed Viscosity)
-> openvpn.exe runs at 100% cpu usage after a few seconds
by the way: when openvpn.exe runs @ 100% - no internet connection will work

finally I got it:
wasn't a bug but a feature - of Windows
... partly.
I had the networkconfiguration of windows (wlan adapter): automatically retrieve IP adresse dinamically and at alternative configuration a fix IP adresse, because at home I uses fixed IPs in wlan network, and at work it's dynamic.
Don't know why but by setting network at fixed IP and without alternative config - no more 100% cpu load at openvpn.exe
But now 100% cpu load at "System". CIS shows me in the log that it's blocking various incoming UDP traffic von the vpn server adresse to "System". So added a global rule to allow all UDP traffic from the IP of the used vpn server -> solved.
But I found a second failure: done as described above websites loaded very very slow.
So I deactivated the routers firewall and now all is fine.
