I am using viscosity to connect to my vpn but it keeps disconnecting while am on the browser without warning me. My problem is that if I get disconnected to VPN it sends information directly through my IP which is banned on the website am using hence my new account gets banned. I want to be able to set viscosity as my local proxy server so that I set the proxy settings on my browser and not connect via my IP at any time.

Hi jlindblad,

Unfortunately Viscosity (or any VPN) can't be set as a local proxy, but please take a look at the following article about preventing network leaks - http://www.sparklabs.com/support/preven ... fic_leaks/

Also you may wish to get to the bottom of your disconnects. You are welcome to post a copy of your OpenVPN log and we can take a look (http://www.sparklabs.com/support/viewin ... envpn_log/) but we generally recommend contacting your VPN Provider as they can generally be more help - http://www.sparklabs.com/support/how_do ... _my_vpn_p/

Hi Joseph,

As per my last post, could you please post up a copy of your OpenVPN log when a disconnect occurs. Also do you need to specifically restart your PC? Can you reconnect if you simply force a disconnect on Viscosity and then reconnect, or restart Viscosity?

Regards,

Eric
