Any update as to the plan for "daily" alpha builds? There have been only two alpha builds (17a1 on 15 March2017 , followed by 1.7a2 on 18 March), and I was not able to launch the UI of either, even though the app continued to run in the background.

Hi All,

An alpha version with basic 2.4 support can be found below. Alpha builds are in-development versions of Viscosity and contain experimental code and untested functionality, and so please backup your connections before attempting to use any alpha builds.

Please note that these builds still have a long list of known problems and incomplete functionality, and it's possible they may not even run for you. Because of this we're not seeking bug reports at this stage. We'll be updating the alpha build posted below on a daily basis until it reaches beta status, so re-check this post to see if a newer version is available if you encounter any problems (alpha releases will not automatically update).

Version: 1.7a3 (1375)
Date: 6 April 2017 AEST
Download

Version: 1.7a2 (1374)
Version: 1.7a1 (1373)

Cheers,
James
Tried build Version: 1.7a3 (1375) and since I have script-security 2 set, I have to turn on allow unsafe commands. But, even with it checked, 1.7a3 is telling me I have to turn it on and refuses to connect.

Version: 1.7a5 (1377) has fixed this issue for me.

No luck with 1.7a3 either for my configuration -- MacBook Pro with latest Sierra. Still no UI after launching app. There is no "helper app" installed on initial app launch as there was in previous versions. I will try 1.7a5 (or laterwhen I get home later today.

Also, please add new post with new builds as notifications don't work with post edits.

Odd, I'm not running into this with 10.12.5b1.

Every time I reboot with Version: 1.7a8 (1380) installed, I have to re-enable the allow unsafe commands setting.
