Hello,

I would like to be able to edit the settings of multiple connections at once, e.g. using the "routing" method of preventing network leaks when the connection drops (as described here: https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... fic-leaks/). I would like to be able to implement that and other things to every connection I have (I have over a 100 so doing these individually would, of course, be immensely tedious and time consuming).

I attempted to simply select all of the connections in the preferences (with CMD+A) and then clicked edit. Surely enough the dialogue opened so I thought this would work adequately however I noticed after checking the settings of my default connection (I wanted to set that to be the one to connected automatically) that it did not contain the changes I had made. I selected them all again and clicked the edit button and noticed that it simply selected the connection last in the list every time and so that was the only one that had the change.

Please can anyone help me to do this with as little tedium as possible.

Hi ViscosityNewb,

I'm afraid Viscosity does not support editing multiple connections are once. Some settings (scripts and username/password) can be shared by placing the connections inside a new folder in Viscosity, and editing the settings for the folder. For anything else your best bet is to edit the configuration files directly, as there are many tools available for the Mac that let you bulk edit text files.

The configuration files for your connection can be found at "Your Home Folder/Library/Application Support/Viscosity". The Library folder is hidden under modern versions of macOS. To get to it you'll need to open the "Go" menu in the Finder while holding down the Option key on your keyboard and click the Library item. Your Library folder will open.

Cheers,
James
