Hi!

I have a ovpn server running on a openwrt (15.05.1) router.
There is another subnet connected to this server via ovpn with some motion webcams.

I used to watch webcams (mjpeg streams) in Safari, simply because it can display mjpeg.

My Problem is:
As soon as I open up Safari (osx), the traffic shoots up. (monitoring on either side - osx activity monitor & 'bmon' on server & second subnet openwrt router)
I don't even open a page / watch a cam in Safari!

It's transmitting around 400kb/s, max upload from the server is 600.
This is nearly the same amount of traffic I receive from 1 webcam.

Is there something fishy in my config or is this some OSX weirdness?
(my assumption is that this happens since I upgraded to El Capitan)

anybody got some troubleshooting tips as to identify the traffic?

Edit: other browsers (Chrome/FF) don't interfere.

Thanks

Turns out it's the bookmarks I created for the Webcams in Safari.
- Stupid thing tries to get Favicons for these and receives a endless mjpeg stream instead.

Sorry for interruption, great piece of software! (viscosity)
