I have imported my OVPN file OK and then choose edit, then the Authentication tab and proceed to add the CA, Cert & Key. After saving I attempted to connect to the VPN and it says connecting but never connects. I edit the setting and the CA, Cert & Key I added and Saved are back to the defaults.

Not sure what to do next.

Hi Stephen,

Viscosity automatically duplicates and renames the files you have selected. So the CA file will be named "ca.crt" etc. As long as you have selected the updated files, and clicked the Save button, your updated files are being used.

Can that be changed? The OVPN file explicitly looks for a specific name for .crt and .key so renaming to the generic will cause failure.

Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Viscosity maintains its own internal configuration for your connection - it doesn't use your configuration file once it has been imported.

If you are having difficulty using your connection it would most likely be due to something else - the OpenVPN log will have more information:
