Hello,

Current version (beta) of Viscosity do not start on macOS Sierra Beta 1. Are you investigating issue already? I did not find yet why it do not start.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've just upgraded one of my systems to the new macOS Beta. Everything seems to work fine expect Viscosity! :(

I don't get the menubar item showing up. Does anyone know how to bring up the preferences or start a connection without the menubar item?

Hi All,

Viscosity's "Display menu icon on right side of menu bar" does not appear to be compatible with macOS 10.12. This is most likely due to changes made by Apple to add the Siri icon.

To set Viscosity's menu icon back to the normal position, which should work fine under macOS 10.12, run the following commands in the Terminal:
Code: Select all
killall Viscosity
defaults write com.viscosityvpn.Viscosity MenuOnRight -bool NO
You should then be able to open Viscosity and use it as normal.

Cheers,
James

Hi All,

An updated Viscosity beta has also just been released (version 1.6.5b2) to address this. In particular:
Removes "Display menu icon on right side of menu bar" option under macOS 10.12. The icon can now be rearranged by holding down the Command key and dragging the icon.
For information on how to update to beta versions please see:
