since recent updates, we are seeing "packet_write_wait"
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
failures in our SSH sessions. Where we used to be able to have our various windows open without issues, we are seeing these timeouts happening. We are not losing our VPN connections, but we are def seeing a huge increase in SSH sessions just randomly saying "goodbye".
No changes to our openvpn server, no changes to the infrastructure, the only changes have been the last barrage of Viscosity updates.
Has anyone else mentioned this?
work_mpacket_write_wait: Connection to 100.99.64.60: Broken pipe
packet_write_wait: Connection to 10.13.4.14: Broken pipe
Thanks

Hi Tory,
Nothing in the recent updates should affect network connectivity through a VPN tunnel. It sounds likely VPN traffic may be stalling. I'd recommend checking the OpenVPN log to check if it gives any indication:

Otherwise you could try something like maintaining a continual ping to a server through the VPN connection and see if there are any latency spikes or packet dropouts when a SSH session drops.
Cheers,
James
