After updating to 1.6.2, I am no longer able to use Viscosity.

After launching, the menu icon remains unresponsive with the OSX "beachball" spinning continuously.

Hi jcolicchio,

Firstly I’d recommend checking the Console log for any error messages or warnings:

You may also like to see whether the comments in the following article could apply:

Finally, if you’re still stuck, I’d recommend attempting a full uninstall and reinstall, as it’s possible there may be a corrupted setting somewhere:

1. Fully uninstall Viscosity and all files by following all of the instructions in the following article. Please make sure you have a backup copy of your VPN connection/s before uninstalling.

2. Log out or restart your computer. This step is important as Mac OS X caches preferences data, even if the preferences file has been deleted. It’s necessary to log out or restart your computer to get it to clear this cache.

3. Install Viscosity as normal:

4. Try and start Viscosity and see if it runs.

Cheers,
James
