I'm rather new to Viscosity, but thought I had successfully setup a Split DNS.

Mode: Split DNS
Servers: XXXXXXXXX
Domains: XXXXXXX, XXXXXX

After saving and restarting, terminal was resolving the hosts from the private DNS over the VPN. Hooray! Then about 10-20 seconds later, I did another ping and the hosts would no longer resolve.

Tried basic stuff:

* Reviewed VPN logs
* Reviewed Console
* Restarted OS X

No luck.

I would appreciate any advice on how to continue to troubleshoot or resolve this issue.

Other info:

Viscosity Version: 1.6.2
OS X Version: 10.11.3

Thanks to any and all in advance.

Hi rplichta,

I'd recommend seeing the following support article to check what DNS settings are being used:
http://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/art ... being-used

Please also keep in mind that if you're using a bridged TAP connection with a remote DHCP server your DNS settings may be getting modified by the DHCP server. If you don't want this you can turn on the "Ignore DNS settings sent by VPN server" option, or disable DHCP support by un-ticking the "Enable DHCP" option.

Cheers,
James
