Connection lost and then restarted
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
I've been successfully using viscosity for a month or 2 now and today ran into a problem where after connecting I able to reach addresses through the VPN and then after some period I can no longer reach them. Viscosity eventually restarts itself after an Inactivity timeout. My configuration file is listed below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
It's likely the connection had dropped out. When using UDP OpenVPN is only really able to detect dropouts using the ping/ping-restart values. Try having a play with the "Ping" and "Ping-restart" fields, which are under the Options tab when editing your connection in Viscosity. For example, try setting a Ping value of 10, and a Ping-restart value of 3600.
Cheers,
James
